Come experience the joys of cycling, kayaking, horseback riding and various aerial adventures such as hang gliding and hot-air ballooning. They promote environmentally friendly travel – such as cycling – and emphasize that their trips are ideal for people seeking adventure close to home. Alternatively, their trips offer visitors a twist to the ordinary city tours. Get out there, be active and experience life – there is lots to do in Toronto.
Lost Rivers Walks – North Toronto Green Community
Come explore hidden nature under our city with the North Toronto Green Community’s LOST RIVER WALKS and discover the fascinating world of our watersheds. The North Toronto Green Community has put maps and stories about our lost creeks on a website (link above). We hope others can take a virtual lost creeks walk or better use the information to take a self guided tour.
ROMwalks are guided walking tours, led by members of the Department of Museum Volunteers, through Toronto neighbourhoods of architectural and historical significance. FREE walks take place every Wednesday at 6 pm and Sunday at 2 pm from May through September. ROMwalk Plus walks are paid walks which include an afternoon tea. Private group walks are available year round by special request for clubs, community groups, visitors and families.

Offering all-inclusive walking/hiking holidays in the Niagara, Quinte, Rideau and Haliburton areas as well as “gentle hiking” day trips from Toronto. We explore the natural, historic and cultural wonders of Ontario that can only be fully appreciated on foot. We “leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but photographs”.

In 48 hours, you will enjoy real world situations that challenge what you thought you knew about your city but were always afraid to ask. Join us, and take some downtime downtown.
Follow this series of nine self-guided walks that link ravines, parks, gardens, beaches and neighbourhoods. Each walk is accessible by TTC and marked by informative signs. See The OTHER Guide to Toronto for a full description of these walks or call for a brochure.
